After staging a successful first edition of the Jinja Fish Festival, the organizers of the now famous event that takes places at Lake Victoria in Kampala, Jinja and Entebbe have again decided to take the second edition to the Eastern region district.
The fest will be held on Sunday December 1, 2019 at Forever Resort which overlooks the source of the Nile Bridge.
According to one of the organizers Moses Bakora, the event will be more of a family day out than just an ordinary music party.
Being a weekend, parents will come along with their children to have an out of the ordinary afternoon.
Revelers will be treated to a number of entertaining activities; from sustainable fisheries exhibition, to school and corporate quizzes, live band performances, cook-offs and fish tasting just to mention but a few.

“The venue will be buzzed with activities as merrymakers stroll from end to end with singers like King Saha hit the stage overlooking the calm Waters of the River Nile,” said Bakora.
“But this is not all the event is set to offer to the music lovers. More artists and comedians from both Jinja and Kampala will be headlining the event; we shall keep you posted as we draw nearer to the only Fisheries festival in the East African region.”
The fest will also be graced by conservationists and business communities.

“It will be a place to network and navigate through the possible areas of investment and add on the voice for sustainable fisheries,” Bakora disclosed.
Meanwhile, after Jinja, all roads will lead to Entebbe at Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) for the third edition of the Entebbe Fish Festival on 15 December.
“The Fish festival seeks to add on to the voice of sustainable living, we say no to Kaveera and plastics at the festival.”
The fest is definitely going to be an early Christmas gift for fish lovers.
