After the resounding success of Quiin Abenakyo, another Ugandan beauty queen has set her eyes on Miss Tourism International crown.
Miss Tourism Uganda Margaret Kankwanzi will on December 21 battle with 46 other contestants from across the world for the coveted title at the 21st edition of Miss Tourism International World.
The 22-year-old was crowned Miss Tourism Uganda on October 12 after defeating 12 other participants.
The finals will be held at Sunway Hotel and Spa in Malaysia.
However, Miss Tourism Uganda organizers say Kankwanzi, who is among the favorites can only win if Ugandans support her to be among the top 10.
To Vote, one is required to download the voting app ‘One smart star’, Dial *1313, Look for Uganda and Vote, 1 Free Vote daily until 21st December.
This year’s Miss Tourism International pageant will be held under the theme ‘Glitz and Glamour’, and the contest will serve as a platform to educate, promote tourism and cultural exchange among participants.
Beside the main Miss Tourism International title, there would be four other titles to be won namely Miss Tourism Metropolitan International, Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International, Miss Tourism Global and Dream girl of The Year International.
There will also be subsidiary titles to be awarded such as Best in National Costume, Best in Social Media, Miss Friendship, Miss Popularity and Best in Talent.
South Africa (2003) is the only African Country that has won this title ever since Miss Tourism International pageant was introduced in 1994.
