Quiin Abenakyo has made Uganda proud after becoming the country’s first contestant to make it to the top five in the Miss World beauty pageant in a highly contested race that took place on Saturday at Sanya City Arena in China.
Abenakyo made it to the top five out of 118 contestants from all around the world that took part in the pageant.
Though she didn’t win the overall race, the 22 year old was crowned Miss World Africa, beating Mauritius’s Murielle Ravina.
She also emerged as Miss World’s second runner-up in popular vote.
Abenakyo will be travelling with the new Miss World Vanessa Ponce (Mexico) together with other Miss Worlds from the continents to their tour for Beauty with a Purpose.
