After President Museveni’ s strongly worded message on the need to protect and conserve the environment in Uganda, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen Kale Kayihura has decided to strengthen the Community Policing initiatives by planting trees with residents in the different Divisions of Kampala ahead of the forthcoming Green Festival 2017 at the Kololo Airstrip on Sun 3rd September.
The police boss has been at the fire front of inspiring Police to work with communities to serve, protect and to keep and maintain Law and order by being a part of the communities they serve.
He has recently traversed various communities and areas with his respective Doc’s and OC’s encouraging neighbourhood watch schemes and other community Policing initiatives.
The IMO commander Frank Mwesigwa has as a result been traversing the 5 divisions of Kampala to ensure that their is a massive reduction in crime all over Kampala.
The IGP will plant fruit trees in various areas of Kampala in partnership with Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green and My Kid is A superstar the organizers of the only Green Festival in Africa.
The Green Festival is organised in partnership with NEMA Uganda , MilkMan , The Ministry of Environment, Eskom Uganda ,Movit , UWEC, NBS Television and the CIA.
