In a poignant tribute to his late partner, Weasel Manizo of the legendary duo Goodlyfe is gearing up for a momentous concert ‘Memories of Goodlyfe’ scheduled for August 2nd at Hotel Africana.
The concert marks a significant milestone for Weasel, who expressed gratitude towards Nobert Events for their pivotal role in making the event a reality.
Speaking exclusively to reporters on Friday, Weasel recounted how the idea for the concert had been brewing for years, spurred on by fervent requests from fans eager to relive the magic of Goodlyfe’s performances. “It’s been nearly a decade since Mowzey Radio passed away without us having a show together,” Weasel shared, reflecting on the journey since his partner’s tragic death.
Weasel went on to highlight the crucial support provided by Nobert Events, emphasizing how a serendipitous morning call from Nobert himself confirmed the long-awaited concert. “Nobert has been there for me, supporting my vision and understanding the importance of honouring Radio’s legacy. It was in the morning when he called ‘Weasel I’m at Africana and I have already paid for the show, now it’s your turn to prepare,” Weasel remarked gratefully.
“I want to assure our Goodlyfe funs that I’m ready and it will be massive,” he said.
The upcoming concert promises to be a nostalgic tribute to the musical genius of Mowzey Radio, with Weasel vowing to deliver a performance that celebrates their enduring partnership and the indelible mark they left on Uganda’s music scene.
