Energy week kicks off today promising to provide Ugandan public opportunities to learn more about various energy technologies.
The week organised by the ministry of energy and mineral development aims at providing a platform for information dissemination about sustainable use of energy resources and sharing of ideas about important energy issues.
The week starts off with energy exhibition that has attracted over a hundred participating stakeholders.
The state minister for minerals,Peter Lokeris says the public should use the next few days to learn more about new efficient energy technology.
“During the exhibition, the general public will have an opportunity to interract with the government officials and agents from the energy sector, they will offer services and answer queries, and learn about measures and saving energy. ” said Lokeris.
Energy week is running under the theme ‘Increase access to clean energy to enhance industrialization towards attainment of middle income status’.
