Uganda WASH Media Awards under the partners’ umbrella Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network (UWASNET) has announced the nominees of the 2016 WASH Media Awards.
The nominations list dominated by Daily Monitor will in weekend award winners in each category for exemplary reporting on water, sanitation and hygiene in Uganda.
Daily Monitor reporters got four nods, also got journalists from New Vision, BBS Tv, NBS, Kfm, capital FM, Capital Fm and News24Africa on the shortlist.

The WASH Media Awards gala is scheduled to take place on Friday 07 October 2016 at Sheraton-Kampala Hotel beginning at 5:00pm.
“The media is a key partner in bringing the issues related to water, sanitation and hygiene to the forefront of national debate in Uganda with the aim of addressing hindrances to access for all” says Doreen Kabasindi Wandera, Executive Director UWASNET.
