As the African Cup of Nations competitions are drawing near, its quit surprising that the team of the year in Africa, Uganda Cranes has not received any penny for facilitation during the tournament which is due to take place in Gabon starting from 17 January, 2017.

According to Fufa President, Moses Magogo, government has not yet released money to facilitate Cranes with just 10 days to go.

Just few days after the presidential handshake scandal where 42 senior government officials rewarded themselves with shs 6 billion after a successful Uganda Revenue Authority court settlement against British oil firm, Tullow oil.

The national team needs exactly the same ammount ( shs6 billion) but government is too reluctant on this national issue, to release the required funding.
