The long hand of the law has stretched to Congolese singer Koffi Olomide in his own home country.

Koffi has been on Tuesday at his home in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for assaulting his female dancer at Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi Kenya.

The media in Congo says Olomide was arrested for his offense that caused his deportation from Kenya last week.

Olomide was widely condemned for his actions after the video leaked on social media. However, he moved fast to apologise for the incident in a Facebook post.

He called it a “moment of madness”. Kenyan authorities arrested him, spent a night in a cell, and the next day put on the plane back to Kinshasha.
