Kampala, Uganda – November, 2024 – TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda has launched reformulated cutting-edge Rubia engine lubricant oils, aligning with Uganda’s revised US 249 Standard for engine oils. This upgrade ensures better engine protection and longevity, meeting the latest regulatory requirements by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards.

With the introduction of the highly advanced reformulated lubricants which include: Rubia Fleet HD 500, Rubia SX Super and Rubia G-6200 Super, TotalEnergies is setting a new benchmark in the market for environmentally responsible and high-performance engine oils. These products cater to the diverse needs of Uganda’s taxi, bus, and truck operators, providing superior protection for both turbocharged and conventional engines. The key benefits of the reformulated lubricants are:

Longer drain intervals by reducing the frequency of oil changes and enhancing cost-efficiency.

Improved detergents ensure engines stay cleaner for longer.

Helps maintain engine health by minimizing sludge build-up.

Extended engine life through advanced acid-neutrality technology which prolongs engine lifespan.

Reduction in engine noise and vibrations ensuring a smoother driving experience.
Turbocharged engine compatibility specifically engineered for turbo engines, providing superior protection.

Unveiling of the reformulated cutting-edge Rubia engine lubricant oils comes at a time when taxi, bus, and truck owners are increasingly concerned with vehicle longevity and fuel efficiency amid rising operational costs. This underscores TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda’s dedication to meeting the evolving customer needs, regulatory changes and sustainability goals.

In addition to the reformulated cutting-edge Rubia engine lubricant oils, TotalEnergies is launching Master Wa Street, a nationwide campaign to educate mechanics and vehicle owners on the benefits of using these next-generation oils. Mechanics are recognized as trusted advisors and are central to ensuring the use of high-quality oils.

TotalEnergies will empower them with product knowledge and benefits, making them advocates of the new formulations and encouraging recommendations to vehicle owners.

The launch of these reformulated cutting-edge Rubia engine lubricant oils positions TotalEnergies as a forward-thinking market leader, dedicated to delivering innovative, sustainable and high-performing products that boost Uganda’s transportation sector.
