Dr Kizza Besigye and Kampala Lord Mayor have yet again defeated the state in courts of laws.
This was one of the many cases pending cases against them in the courts of law.
In May last year, Besigye and Lukwago were arrested by ACP Siraje Bakareke from Nsambya Sharing hall.
The duo were due launch a campaign for electoral reforms, ahead of the 2016 general elections.
“We were put under police custody for some good time and thereafter arraigned before Makindye court on the charge of disobedience of lawful orders,” said Lukwago after court dismissed the charges.
He says, “Since then we have been reporting to court  until this morning when the case was dismissed for want of prosecution as the state failed to produce even a single witness.”

Besigye and Lukwago have some of the most charges for any Ugandan in Ugandan courts. Observers say the two are slapped on political charges to restrain their freedom to move and associate.
