The Forum for Democratic Change(FDC) former presidential candidate,Dr Kizza Besigye has been arrested today by police from his home in Kasangati and whisked away in the popular black police van to unknown destination.
It all started when opposition leaders including the lord mayor of Kampala,Elias Lukwago went to pay him a visit to welcome him officially from his two weeks travel from US only to find police barricades welcoming them on the way to Besigye’s home.
This annoyed Besigye and he started exchanging verbal words with the officers ordering them to remove their barricades which the police refused. He then started removing the barricades himself, throwing them on the side road.
Police tried to stop him from removing it’s property and by the end of it all,Besigye was arrested and forced into the police van and driven away.
