Andrew Mwenda is a cat with nine lives.
Having made his name on KFM radio in early 2000s, Mwenda was yet to land an actual show in this television era despite trying here and there for a presence.
This week, Mwenda got his dream come true. He got a financial show on ambitious NBS tv. And those that love to understand the economy, there’s no better place.
The Blink made its debut on Monday night after 9o’clock news.
It is an almost new version of Andrew Mwenda Live, but a more mature Mwenda today, at least allowing his panelists to talk. He has assembled some of the best financial brains in the country and you could envy him for that.
The show featured Dr Samuel Sejjaaka, the chairman of Uganda Development Bank and former deputy principal Makerere University Business School. The other two are Richard Byarugaba, the managing director of NSSF and Mathias Katamba, the MD for Housing Finance Bank.
It looked like the first show was hurried, as its uncommon for NBS, not to market a new vision. Literally, many viewers gatecrashed the first show.
