Police has on Monday morning arrested Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana. He was thrown on a police truck vehicle like a common thief.
Ssewanyana and colleagues were protesting against National Environment Management Authority eviction of traders from Kabuuma market, which was allegedly set up in a swamp.
With rising water levels, NEMA has flagged several illegal occupation of swampy areas around Lake Victoria and demanded users vacate them.
However, some people have refused to vacate.
Today, Ssewanyana went to this market and demanded that traders be left to work.
However, police arrested him saying he was inciting violence.
