Three time World Kickboxing Federation National Super Medal weight Champion Titus Tugume has cited the poor administration of the kickboxing body in the country as one of the reasons as to why he has been losing fights.
Tugume who is currently spearheading a struggle to have a new leadership, says officials in the old administration used to bend the rules in favour of the kick boxer of their choice thus pointing out his re-match with Golola Moses in 2015 at Lugogo Indoor Stadium which he claims that the latter applied wrestling instead of using the real kickboxing techniques.
“I can’t fight Umar Ssemata because he is under weight and he plays a different style from mine but I want a chance under the coming regime to teach Moses Golola this sport because he concentrates too much on wrestling than the real sport of Kick boxing”, says Tugume.
“During our rematch, Golola wrestled but the judges and referee turned a blind eye.”
Golola has won Tugume in all the two games they have interfaced [2013 and 2015].
Tugme, a Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) soldier at a rank of Senior Sergeant, joined Kick boxing in 2005 and played for the national team in 2007 before turning professional.
He plays K1 and Full contact style and he has had 52 fights ,winning 39, drawing 4 and losing 9.
He has defended the WKF national super medal weight title three times and is the holder of the WKF international championship belt,IKF Championship belt and Mixed martial Arts Kick boxing Championship belt.
