Producer Washington has been put on spot for picking Mozey Radio’s pockets as the singer fought for his life following a bar brawl at De bar in Entebbe on January 22, 2018.
Radio, born Moses Ssekibogo succumbed to head injuries sustained from the said fight a couple of days later at Case Clinic in Kampala.
Almost 22 months after the incident, court in Entebbe found Troy Wamala guilty of manslaughter. He will learn of his jail term on Thursday, October 31.
But as Radio’s fans get to terms with the loss of their favourite singer, news has emerged that Washington, who was by Radio’s side after Troy hit him on the floor, rushed into his pockets and stole money and a gold ring before rushing him to hospital, according to Frank Ssekibogo, Radio’s brother.
During an interview with a local TV station on Monday, the lesser known Ssekibogo, said: “Washington stole the money which Radio had gone with to pay workers at his site. You can’t tell me that he went to the site to pay workers without any money because by the time we reached the hospital, Radio didn’t have a single coin on him, meaning Washington stole it.”
He also noted even after rushing Radio to St. Elizabeth Clinic, Washington still refused to pay the clinic bills, even after stealing his money.
Ssekibogo has always had a lot to comment of his brother’s death since his passing on February 1, 2018 but these latest allegations might probably get him out to respond.
Radio was a gifted singer and songwriter famed for songs such as Neera, Nkwagala, Jennifer, Sweet Lady among others.
