The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has been awarded a honorary Doctorate of Laws by Nkumba University.
This was during the University’s 22 Graduation ceremony themed “25 years of academic excellence and professionalism” held on Saturday, 26 October 2019.
The Speaker, a lawyer by profession, lauded the government for liberalising education, citing an example of Nkumba University which has enabled many Ugandans and foreigners to have a chance to access university education.
She further urged the graduands to make use of what they have learned and not only look for jobs but also create them.
