Renowned NTV news anchor Faridah Nakazibwe has pleaded with government to forcefully take singer Rema Namakula back to her ex-lover Eddy Kenzo.
Posting on her Instagram wall on Tuesday, Nakazibwe jokingly said if government does not react as soon as possible, the 2015 BET winner may give out his award to neigbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) out of anger.
“But can’t government forcefully take Rema back to Kenzo so that the situation goes back to normal? Kenzo may get angry and give out his BET to DR Congo,” she suggested.
Nakazibwe’s plea follows Kenzo’s recent desperate online posts ever since he was told by Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata to marry his dead mother.
In September, Rema dumped Kenzo thus putting an end to a five-year relationship. The two have a four-year old daughter together.
As if that was not bad enough for the ‘Tereza’ singer, the head of Da’awah Kibuli Muslim faction went ahead to add salt into his wound by insulting him.
“These love niggers can only show off but don’t marry. All they say is ‘we are still making a review’, ‘you know a woman has to be like my mother’, are you stupid? Okay go and marry your mother,” Muzaata said during his congratulatory message to Rema and her new husband Dr Hamza Sebunya at their visiting [Kukyala] ceremony last Wednesday.
He also called him gay during an interview with nbs TV’s uncut show.
Following Muzaata’s unjust utterances, Kenzo has since posted numerous statements and videos demanding an apology from the cleric.
Muzaata is yet to apologise.
