Polly Bandola, a Bachelor of Medicine student is also accused of threatening to harm Frank Mugwizi, the hall’s warden after he reportedly told him to vacate his room because he had accumulated three retakes.
The university policy states that once a student, although on government sponsorship get three retakes, they are supposed to leave the hall of residence to fend for themselves.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, the warden informed police of the development on Monday.
When they searched his room, they found a Jerrycan of petrol, shisha concoctions and an unidintified unconscious female who they suspect was sexually assaulted because of an array of used condoms found lying in the room.
The girl was rushed to hospital.
“The said student was reportedly ‘misbehaving'”, Onyango added, leading to the forceful eviction of the former student leader who was vocal in protesting against the university’s decision to increase tuition fees.
