Rapper Patrick Senyonjo aka Fresh Kid took disco to school during the launch of StarTimes Kampala Kids Run 2019 at Kampala Parents School on Thursday.
The seven-year-old rapper, who is also a beneficiary of Ruparelia Foundation took on the Mic to entertain his schoolmates and guests who were seen rhyming along his songs like Bambi, Tip Tap among others.
Themed ‘Safe Drinking Water in Primary Schools’, the annual event is organised by Kampala Kids Run, StarTimes, Ruparelia Foundation among others. Proceeds from this run will go to providing support to rural schools, to ensure that there is safe drinking water for all pupils.
The Kampala Kids Run is a Non-Government Organization that focuses on helping less privileged children in rural school, and this year’s charitable run is scheduled December 8, 2019 at Uganda Museum.
Ravij Ruparelia, the Managing Director of Kampala Parents School said that Kampala Parents will greatly get involved in this exercise to help other schools that can’t afford to provide safe drinking water to their pupils.
“We are very lucky, we work tirelessly to make sure we provide the best yet many children do not have the privileges we have. It is upon us to provide for them, lets come together to do a fundraising to support the cause,” he said.
For schools and kids to participate in the fundraising, they need to buy a Kit that goes for Shs20,000 each.
