Desire Derekford Mugumisa has been appointed Next Media Services new Public Relations officer.
Mugumisa, who has been at the station for about four months now as a sports anchor, starts his new role with immediate effect.
Prior to joining nbs TV, Mugumisa spent about five years at Urban TV where he was charged with presenting sports news on the ‘Urban Today’ breakfast show between 6.30am and 7am. He also handled PR and Marketing for JKL Dolphins Sports Club.
He had previously worked at UBC TV and Magic FM for seven years of service.
He took to his social media pages to announce the latest announcement which was endorsed by Next Media Services boss Kin Karisa with a pair of neck ties.
“Happy new month, fam! I hope it goes as great for you as it has started out for me. Today, I start a new role as PR and Communications Officer of Next Media Services, the greatest milestone yet I’ve reached in my 13-year career!
The task at hand is something that excites me, but most importantly, the trust in me and confidence that the people here have shown right from the moment I was announced internally has had me raring to go even more.
This is the biggest media brand in the land with a leadership that is involved and very determined to make the gap behind us even bigger. When those trust that you are the man for the job, that is motivation enough. To new beginnings,” he posted.
