The latest victims of social media gossip are Golden Band singer Maureen Nantume and comedian Charles Kasozi aka MC Mariachi, who were reportedly deported from United States of America (USA).
Over the weekend, news broke the internet that Mariachi and Nantume were deported from USA allegedly because they didn’t have work permits.
The duo was due to perform at a show in Boston that was organised by Juliet Zawedde, a USA based Ugandan event promoter but they were stopped at Logan Airport and then deported back.
As usual on social media, gossips couldn’t let Nantume have peace pushing her to comment on the matter.
Some came to conclusion that maybe the singer was deported because she didn’t know how to express herself in English, while others claimed that it is her co-wife who sabotaged her performance.
“Did the problem come from your poor English or it’s your co-wife that sabotaged her performance,” a one Martinez Selector Derulo comment.
Bitter about the false social media comments, Nantume responded to one of her fans that “It’s your mother who got me deported.”
However this didn’t stop the online trolls from happening, as some questioned if it’s their mothers that refused her from going to school, or learning English.
This deportation ban prohibits Nantume and MC Mariachi from entering USA for a period of 10 years, and they now join singer Rema Namakula who was also banned from that country.
