The Prime Minister of Uganda Ruhakana Rugunda on Sunday urged Ugandans to carry out regular medical checkups even if they feel healthy.
“It’s very needful and important to have regular medical checkups for the good of your health,” Rugunda said.
He made the remarks in his eulogy during the burial of John Masanyu, the father of Julius Mucunguzi who heads the communications department in the Office of the Prime Minister. The burial ceremony took place in Bukinda, Rukiga district.
Rugunda warned that non communicable diseases were on rise in the country and said Ugandans to would heed to the instructions of medical personal would live better lives.
The late Masanyu succumbed to cancer on Friday at Kabale regional referral hospital at the age of 74.
