Recording a breakthrough song is not easy. Sustaining the new found fame that comes with having a breakthrough song is even much more difficult. And that is currently what singer Rebecca Namakula alias Chosen Becky is undergoing. That, and the fact that she has resorted to making excuses.
With no doubt, 2018 was Chosen Becky’s year after she recorded her breakthrough song ‘Bankuza. ’ This particular song introduced her to stardom, won her multiple awards and also secured her international tours among others.
As we come to the end of 2019, Becky has failed to release an impressive song – despite having outed Aliba ani, Kyosaba, Ebisembayo among others – and now her unforgiving fans have resorted to putting her under pressure.
Through her social media platform, Becky has since requested her fans to give her sometime, because ‘working with the best needs time’.
“I really feel the pressure of your demands for a new project, but trust me am cooking the best for you my fans. Working with the best needs time in order to get the best, and so it is supposed to be the best. Kindly keep on waiting, the best from the best. Signed and sealed, yours Chosen Becky,” she noted.
The 19-year-old was recently managed by singer Victor Kamenyo, but after her breakthrough, she parted ways with her management and joined David Lutalo’s Da Hare’s management.
