In most cases, new children come into the picture after the death of the parents.
This wasn’t the case with singer Paul Mutabaazi alias Fresh Daddy.
Ever since he hit the limelight, his followers knew of only three children including – Patrick Ssenyonjo ‘Fresh Kid’ and two others. Now the ‘Fresh Family’ has now grown bigger by one.
Frank Mutabaazi, also a singer and song writer came out recently to claim that his mother told him that Paul was his biological father. However, the two (father and son) last met when he was still young.
Frank told NTV’s Live Wire on Thursday that he is the brains behind Sheebah’s songs like Onumya engala, Silwana, Kimansulo Kumumwa, and Lwaki Oloba by Spice Diana, (not yet out) among others, and believes that the music talent runs through their family.
“Mr Mutabaazi is my father. I am sure because my mother told me so. But I last saw my dad a long time back when I was taken to visit him. My mum is still alive and she lives in Rukungiri district. I learnt about my family again when Fresh Kid started to make news,” he said.
Frank noted that he saw his dad again on TV during around the time Fresh Kid rose to stardom.
That is when he realized that he was the ‘father’ he grew up seeing in pictures, but he never wanted to come out at that moment in fear of public criticisms.
“I refused to come out at the moment because I thought it might destroy Fresh Kid’s talent and new found fame. I am not requesting for anything from the Fresh family, but as a person, I also want to know my roots.”
However while commenting about this matter, Fresh Daddy claimed that he doesn’t want to know anything about his ‘new’ son.
“I don’t know anything about him and I don’t want to know. Find out anything about him yourselves,” he said.
It’s not clear if this ‘Fresh son’ is a fake who wants grab public attention, or he is a true Mutabaazi.
