Kampala Minister Betty Kamya has vowed to lead the ruling party assault on opposition strongholds in Uganda’s capital Kampala.
Ms Kamya, a former Forum for Democratic Change knight, but fell out with the top before forming her Federal Alliance party, told Samson Kasumba’s Focal Point on NBS Television, on Sunday night, that she knows the opposition in and out and she is using that information to dismantle the opposition wheel in Kampala.
“I know how they work, i know how they think, we are going to defeat them,” She said.
Kamya who admitted that she is NRM but not officially, said President Yoweri Museveni, leader of Uganda for the last 33 years, was winning again, and he is the safest pair of gloves to captain Uganda. She explained that Museveni was a better president given his experience, efficiency and level of tolerance.
Kamya however said she had put on the side for now the federal agenda which her party was championing, because, it has since fulfilled it’s objectives.
The Kampala city Minister said he was delivering several NRM MPs in the city. Right now, NRM has no single MP in Kampala city.
