The Bishop South Ankole Diocese the Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe has asked young people intending to marry to always prepare themselves in time and make sure they are committed to join the marriage institution if their relationships are to be a success.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe made remarks on Saturday during the giveaway ceremony of Komujuni Kezia, daughter to veteran Journalist and Manager Radio Ankole Ntungamo Elliott Kabangira Magande in Nyaruraara Rwakirunguura Buyanja Rukungiri district.
Flanked by his wife Lillian Ahimbisibwe, the Bishop expressed concern that many people have held very luxurious parties attended by people who sacrifice their time and monies on the same but later end up in divorce after a short while.
He blessed Komujuni and her husband Ainomugisha Nicholas from Isingiro District and asked the bride not to be the woman that would have wasted monies and many people’s time.
Mrs Priscah Tumusiime, the political assistant to Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana, asked Komujuni to be ‘a material wife’ instead of being ‘just woman in marriage’.
Elliott Kabangira Magande said that it was unfortunate to have giveaway his daughter into marriage after losing his wife Kellen Kabangira who passed away after being elected as village chairperson Nyaruraara.
He advised Ainomugisha to love his wife and forgive each other whenever there is misunderstanding in their marriage for it to be successful.
