Last Friday, Rwandan security agents shot and killed John Baptista Kyerebgye and Alex Nyesiga – Rwandan and Ugandan nationalities – respectively.
They were shot at Hamisavu Trading Center in Kiruhura village, Kasekye parish Kamwezi sub-county Rukiga District.
The two bodies were on Monday handed over to their relatives in a ceremony witnessed by several diplomats and representatives from both countries.
Rwandan security, in their press release last week refuted claims that the duo were shot in Uganda, contrary to what Fred Enanga, the Uganda police spokesperson had released before.
The following points prove out Rwanda’s lies to the world.
1: However much Rwanda’s ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in its press release, claims that the shooting happened in Tabagwe cell, Tabagwe sector in Nyagatare District in Rwanda, they have no scene of crime in Tabagwe cell.
Can an incident happen without the scene of crime?
2: How did the two bodies end up in Uganda if the shooting incident happened in Tabagwe cell in Rwanda? There was no Ugandan security along the porous border in Kamwezi that could have picked the bodies yet Rwanda has security all over the borders.
3: Shortly after the incident, some Rwandan soldiers crossed to Uganda, allegedly on a spying mission. They were subsequently arrested. One of the arrested had sustained a minor injury on his head. He is believed to be one of the killers of Kyerebgye and Nyesiga, injured in the scuffle that led to shooting of the Ugandan. According to the twitter handle of the Rwanda National police, the arrested were Samvura Pierre, 47 and Habiyaremye Eric, 25. Rwanda claims innocent civilians were arrested in Kamwezi. How did Kigali know their exact names and age yet they were not there at the time of their arrest? That means its Rwanda that had sent them to Uganda.
4: Why did Nyagatare’s Mayor, Claudian Mushabe and other Rwandan dignitaries refuse to meet Ugandan delegation at the scene of crime on Monday? Uganda’s head of delegation during the delivery of the bodies at Katuna border point, Kamusiime Muhwezi (Rukiga district MP) requested Mushabe, along with his colleagues to meet at the scene of crime but they declined. Maybe because they knew they would be contradicting their press release which said the shooting happened in their country yet they had no scene of crime there.
