Mr Robert Kyagulanyi, the Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament has distanced himself from people who are who have in the past few months been soliciting money on behalf of and the People Power pressure group.
On Sunday, Kyagulanyi, famously known as Bobi Wine said he had received numerous complaints from friends both in Uganda and abroad about persons who masquerade as #PeoplePower ambassadors to solicit funds in his name and in the name of their struggle.
Such money, he added never reaches their offices to perform the activities of their struggle.
“I wish to clarify to all our people in Uganda and abroad, that #PeoplePower has not sent out anyone to solicit funds on it’s behalf, and for that matter has not received any money for that purpose,” he posted on facebook.
“This is not to discourage people from financially supporting other comrades in the struggle, but let it be clear that such support is given to those individuals in their personal capacity and not in my name or that of #PeoplePower. We shall indeed need to be financially supported very soon, and when that time comes, the official channels will be communicated.”
