Ever since Team No Sleep’s Sheebah Karungi released her Silwana alongside Carol Nantongo, social media critics came out to question the message behind this song.
Most claimed that it is too feministic and maybe that is the reason why the singer has failed to get married.
“Men are cheats, but it’s always best for a woman to do what her man does to balance the relationship. If a man cheats, why can’t a woman do the same? When I need you and you don’t come I immediately get a replacement for you at that moment. That’s the good kind of love,” Sheebah sings in Silwana.
On Wednesday, the Mummy yo singer confirmed that it’s true she is a feminist who wants equality for all genders, but doesn’t hate men as social media rumours claim.
“Yes I am a feminist, No I don’t hate men, No I don’t think men are evil, No I don’t think all men are rapists, Yes I want equality for all genders, Yes am a feminist,” Sheebah said.
This happened after socialite Shanitah Namuyibwa alias Bad Black launched a social media war with her. Bad Black felt concerned of how Sheebah is aging but still doing ‘funny’ things and failing to concentrate on useful ones.
“You are making 30 years this year Sheebah. Stop doing funny things likes copying Beyonce. Just work hard and be different” Bad Black said.
