Minister without Portfolio, Hajji Abdul Nadduli has cautioned Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi to ‘keep sober’ while selecting his allies.
On Wednesday, People Power leader Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine, and the leader of People’s Government, Dr Kizza Besigye signed a document showing that both preasure groups had agreed to work together in a bid to oust President Museveni from power.
In the same week, Kyagulanyi also engaged with the leader of the new political party Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) Maj Gen. Mugisha Muntu and agreed to work together.
However, according to Naduli, the new allies that Kyagulanyi agreed to work with, have their hidden agendas and want to use Kyagulanyi’s figure and fame to meet their own goals.
While addressing journalists at his office in Kampala, Naduli said both Besigye and Muntu are thirsty for power and can never let kyagulanyi take it from them.
“The two people are wealthier as you can imagine but they are not settled because they want power. For example, Mugisha Muntu has always been fighting this government and his general aim is to be elected as the President and he will never rest until he realises that dream,” said Naduli on Friday.
Naduli cautioned Kyagulanyi to leave all the parties interested in him and first analyse the true people to work with.
“Sit down and choose the people we see are genuine, people who can combine all the political parties together and their supporters to avoid two double-dealers whose one leg is in People Power but another one is in FDC or ANT,” he added.
He added that for Kyagulanyi to see his dream come true, all the existing opposition political parties must accept to genuinely support him.
Naduli’s argument comes one day after the leaders from Democratic Party Bloc (DP Bloc); Mike Mabike, Abed Bwanika and others swore not to accept Besigye to lead the struggle and are not happy with the new agreement Kyagulanyi made with Besigye.
