Last year, Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine staged an ‘unlawful protest’ against the Over The Top Tax (OTT).
Together with colleagues, the musician turned politician took the unlawful demonstration downtown to demand that the tax should be removed.
The demonstration produced some really iconic pictures, like the one of Bobi Wine in parliament holding a jacket donated by a well-wisher to help him evade police.
Ofcourse the other was of the musician holding hands with other activists including Alexander Bagonza alias A Pass and journalist Raymond Mujuni.
The photo reminded many of his followers of the ‘March on Washington, led by Martin Luther King Jr. and others, on August 28, 1963’.
Now in fear of being thrown into jail like the Ghetto Gladiator, APass has denied knowing anything or taking part in the OTT demonstration.
Just like Simon Peter in the Bible, APass has claimed that someone evil photoshopped his images to make it look like he was part of the demonstration.
“But Ugandans you are evil people, now you want me to go to jail while using the Photoshop tools. I was never on the OTT protest, that’s not me,” A Pass stated.
The comic musician however, called upon social media activists to put more efforts on Bobi Wine’s freedom, and also to help and prevent him from going to jail.
“All our energy should be on trying to have Bobi Wine freed and also prevent A Pass from going to Luzira. For more information call my Manager Momo. I am at the Uganda Airport I need a holiday in Rwanda, Uganda has become hard. Let’s keep in touch and be strong,” A Pass said.
APass was one of the biggest advocates of ‘People Power’ movement when it started in 2018. But ever since Bobi Wine started feeling the brutality of the police force, the Gamululu singer has decided to distance himself from the now jailed Kyadondo East legislator.
