Maria Nabayunga, a laboratory Technologist at Nsambya Hospital who went missing last week has been found alive.
Nabayunga was on Wednesday evening found dumped at her sister’s door in Kansanga, a Kampala city suburb.
According to Daily Monitor, Jane Nakanwagi said that she found her elder sister at her doorstep moments after news of her suspected kidnap circulated. Nakanwagi stays near the International University of East Africa in Kansanga.
“When I opened the door I found her at my doorstep. She could hardly talk; she was dizzy because of chloroform. When asked I her who had brought her she did not know. I tried to inquire from neighbours whether they had seen anybody who had brought her, but they said they had seen her walk to my house alone,” Nakanwagi told the local daily.
However, Nabayunga tried to recall that on Easter Sunday she went to pray at Watoto Church (Former KPC) and after prayers she went to Nakasero market to buy food stuffs.
“While at Nakasero market she says some guy asked her for phone and since then she could not remember what happened after,” the sister explained.
Nabayunga is currently at her home in Buziga from where she is expected to be taken to hospital for a medical checkup.
The development comes hot on the heels of the murder of Dr Catherine Agaba of International Hospital Kampala (IHK) whose body was found dumped in a septic tank in Muyenga on Monday.
Ronald Obangakene, a private security guard confessed to the gruesome act saying the deceased had reported him to his boss and acted that way in order to secure his job.
Obangakene was on Wednesday charged with murder and aggravated robbery by the Makindye Chief Magistrates court before being remanded to Luzira Prison.
