Ghetto president Bobi Wine is currently smiling from ear to ear after Uganda Police finally issued a clearance letter for his Easter Monday Busaabala Fest.
This music Fest will be happening on April 22 at Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach in Busaabala.
According to the Police notice issued by Police Director of Operations, Asuman Mugyenyi , the show is allowed to happen, provided the artiste doesn’t turn the music show into Politics.
“The show must strictly not be POLITICAL or POLITICALLY motivated in nature, and must be done in the environment of law and order. Police will not hesitate to stop the function at any time, even if other authorities have Okayed the same, if proceedings breach the guidelines,” read parts of the notice.
This show has been hanging in balance, and during a presser at Firebase home in Kamwokya on Tuesday, Bobi Wine asserted that the fest will happen with or without clearance from the police, because they had written to them about a month back but had not yet got a response.
“This show has been happening every Easter Monday for over 10 years back, We wrote to Police about a month back but they have not yet responded till now. However this will not stop us, as we are planning to continue with our show preparation because we are not doing anything wrong” Bobi Wine stated.
According to Abby Musinguzi alias Abtex Promotions, the ‘official fest promoter’, Police had no excuse of cancelling the Busaabala Fest this time, for they had taken all the necessary procedures as required by the Police.
