The Ntungamo Resident District Commissioner George Bakunda has advised young people to persevere and practice patience when nursing their parents.
Bakunda said this on Wednesday during the burial of late Jaires Kamushaya, the mother of Johnson Nkirirehi, the Ntungamo District NRM administrative secretary in Kitojo Kihumuro Rwamabondo Town council Kajara county Ntungamo district.
He told young generation that had it not been the struggle and knowledge of their ageing parents they would cease to exist appealing to them to care for them where necessary.
Bakunda also tasked public to engage in income generating projects to fight poverty at household level instead of wasting time in non productive ventures.
He hailed the children led by Nkirirehi Johnson for taking care of late Kamushaya which enabled him to live longer.
In his comforting words, Venerable Rev Canon James Ndyanabo Rutaraaka asked young generation to always respect their parents if they are to live longer in World.
Ven Rev Can Rutaraaka said that they family should keep together adding that they are lucky to have send off their mother instead of her burying them.
He told mourners to accept Jesus Christ as the late Kamushaya did if they are to live a Holly life on the Universe.
The children led by Nkirirehi Johnson the Ntungamo District NRM administrative secretary commended their mother late Kamushaya for producing, nurturing and educating them.
Nkirirehi thanked all people who assisted them during the trying moments especially Radio Ankole and its management.
The grandchildren led by Tumushabe Ramathan praised God for taking their grandmother when they are still live rather than her burying them.
Other speakers were Ven Rev Polly Beitwa the archdeacon Kibatsi, Lay canon Gideon Karurengire and Edward Babigumira the Kibatsi sub county and Rwamabondo town council chairperson.
The late Kamushaya, 83, succumbed to ulcers left and left seven children, 49 grand children and 34 great grand children.
