Singer Sheebah Karungi has joined the many voices from Ugandans who want State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Florence Nakiyingi to lift Fresh Kid’s music ban.
Nakiwala recently ordered the seven year old rapper to drop the mic, and threatened that anyone who holds music business with him will face the law. She alleged that Fresh Kid should be in school not on stage.
Given that Sheebah had a rough background, she couldn’t turn a deaf ear about the Kid’s situation, as she claimed that it’s not right to stop the youngest rapper on the land from changing his future just because he is seven years of old.
“Honestly at first I thought they were restricting him from certain shows and time to protect him as any 7 year old should be protected. I just landed on the real story right now and I don’t think it’s fair. I know what it means to luck everything as a child. It’s not easy. #Bambi he deserves a chance to change his future” she posted on her social media.
Sheebah’s comment follows the Kid’s latest release dubbed ‘Bambi’. In this song Fresh Kid talked about his parent’s hustles before he joined the music industry.
The Kid claims that music is paying bills for them currently, and that his parents are having big smiles all because they are earning from their child’s talent, but he is scared of what will happen now that his career is at stake.
