Uganda Premier League bottom placed side Paidah Black Angels have unveiled Anthony Sekitto as their new head coach for the remainder of the season.
Sekitto replaces Charles ‘Kadidi’ Ssenyange who was sacked last week under unclear circumstances. He becomes the club’s fourth coach this season after Muhamad Kisekka, who was indefinitely suspended and Tamale Kiwanuka who resigned shortly after the start of the season.
Sekitto who has previously worked at Big league sides Kyetume FC and recently Kitara FC was unveiled at a well attended ceremony to the media and the club’s fans at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo comes in on a short term deal that will last atleast until the end of the season with the possibility of extending it further.
Paidha Black Angels are currently bottom of the 16 -team table with 16 points collected from 24 games played so far and the new coach’s immediate task being to help the team survive relegation despite being 11 points away from safety with six games to play.
Ssekitto’s first test in the league will come away to Express FC at the Betway Stadium, Wankulukuku. With his home debut coming a week later against league league leaders KCCA. He will also have the west nile derby at home against ribals Onduparaka and a visit of defending champions Vipers.
