Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has been rushed to Nakasero Hospital in a critical condition, Watchdog Uganda has learnt.
According to information coming in from Parliament, Kadaga was hospitalized on Thursday evening because of exhaustion.
Her Principal Press Secretary, Sam Obbo, said the ‘exhaustion was due to numerous working engagements and trips.
“She had just returned from long trips abroad – the Arab world and most recently, United States of America,” he told a local online site.
The 62-year-old Kamuli District Woman MP had just returned from New York where she attended the 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations headquarters.
