Beninese singer/songwriter Angelique Kidjo and Canadian’s saxophonist Darren Rahn are set to headline Isaiah Katumwa’s Annual Jazz Concert slated for Tuesday, April 30 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
According to Katumwa, this concert, which falls on International World Jazz Day, is ‘everything Jazz music lovers have been waiting for’.
“This year we bring you two international acts with great influence in both jazz and African music culture. We are looking forward to an evening that will be defined by the rich and eclectic sounds of two of the most outstanding jazz icons of our times,” said Katumwa at the presser this week.
Kidjo, one of Africa’s finest artistes became a household name for hit songs such as Wombo Lombo, Agolo, Malaika among others.
Rahn is also known for his songs like What Cha Gonna Do for me, Speechless, D’Luxe among others. He is also a multiple Grammy Award nominee over the past 11 years. Besides singing, Rahn is also a producer and mixing engineer.
