Songstress Sheebah Karungi is set to represent Uganda in Coke Studio Africa 2019 finale, in an all female episode that will be showing today March 8, on NTV, nbs TV, Face TV, and Record TV at 8: pm.
To spice up the International Women’s Day celebration, Coke Studio Africa announced their first all female production, featuring top Africa’s singing divas.
The finals will see other female artistes like, Nazizi (Kenya), Lioness (Namibia), Boity (South Africa), Nandy (Tanzania), Mahlet (Ethiopia), Lourena Nhate (Mozambique), Tamy (Zimbabwe).
This will be an extra-ordinary Coke Studio Africa episode that it will not only feature female artiste, But music producers, studio engineers, a full band, content directors, scriptwriters, editors, camera operators, floor managers among others, will all be females.
Through their official social media handle, Monali shah, the Head of Content Excellence for Coca-Cola South and East Africa Business Unit, highlighted that a lot has been put in place to present such a powerful edition that she can wait to see.
“We are very excited to announce an all women finale episode of the 2019 edition of Coke studio Africa. It’s the first time the production is taking such a bold move in the history of Coke studio Africa to spot light the amazing talent we have in entertainment” Monali said.
Coke Studio Africa is a music platform that brings together musicians from across Sub –Sahara countries both upcoming and established to show their talents, as well as teach and give foundation to young artistes.
And for this 2019 edition, Uganda was represented by several artistes like, King Saha, Weasel, Fik Fameica, Alvin Kizz, and Sheebah.
