Uganda through its Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Scientific , Technical and Innovation Cooperation with Russia’s Ministry of Science and in Moscow.
Elioda Tumwesigye , Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation signed the Memorandum on behalf of the Government of Government while Mikhail Kotyukov, Minister of Science & Higher Education signed on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The purpose of this Memorandum is to contribute to the development and realization of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation.
Within the scope of their competence, both parties will contribute to the development and realization of cooperation in technologies for exploration and development of mineral resources; ecology, research in the field of agriculture, biotechnology , chemistry and research.
Both parties identified areas of cooperation and implementation should begin by July 2019.
