State Minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Tourism from Yesbud University.
Based in Zambia, Yesbud University on its official website states that, “We envision a world where anyone, anywhere can transform their life by accessing the world’s best learning experience. Yesbud University is where lifelong learners come to learn the skills they need, to land the jobs they want, to build the lives they deserve.”
The university also says it has a well experienced faculty that offers popular online courseswith guaranteed career security.
Kiwanda who was appointed Minister on June 6, 2016 has on several occasions been described as a player Uganda has always needed to boast her tourism potentials due to his ‘creative’ establishments.
Months after his appointment, Kiwanda launched the ‘Tulambule’ campaign to encourage Ugandans visit their country. Later he launched ‘rolex’ as a tourism product aimed at boosting the industry. The Ugandan delicacy is made up of a rolled chapatti, eggs and vegetables.
Early this month, the minister who also serves as Mityana North Member of Parliament unveiled the Miss Curvy pageant aimed at appreciating the well endowed Ugandan women.
Though the initiative was not well received by a section of Ugandans especially women activists, Kiwanda has been appreciated for being a great innovator.
