The Rubaare Town Council clerk has cautioned teachers who sexually harass pupils that they will be arrested since they are the major cause of increased school drop outs across the country.
Tedious Nimusiima revealed that there are some teachers who have developed the vice of defiling the pupils they teach which must stop or risk being brought to book.
He made remarks on Tuesday while awarding gifts the best candidates who performed well in the just released 2018 PLE results within Rubaare town council.
Nimusiima hailed the best performed candidates of Nyamurindira and Mutojo primary schools who scored grade one and asked them to maintain it at higher level of education.
He pledged that Rubaare town council will continue awarding gifts of mattresses, blankets, bed sheets and towel to all candidates who got grade one in UPE schools.
The chairperson Rubaare town council Kansiime Benson appealed to teachers of both schools to mind about the good performance of children for the reputation of UPE schools.
Kansiime thanked the area MP Hon Mwesigwa Rukutana for supporting the schools by roofing Nyamurindira classroom block.
The secretary for education Rubaare Town council Musinguzi Benson Karaara commended teachers, parents and children cooperation and hard work noting that it has enabled the pupils to perform well.
At Nyamurindira P School the team was welcomed by head teacher Tweheyo Robert and three children including Ainebyoona Emmex, Ayebare Precious and Ariho Blessing were awarded mattresses, blankets, bed sheets and towel.
At Mutojo P School the team was welcomed by head teacher Rwakishaija Amos Junior and 12 pupils were awarded.
Present were Rev Arthur Twinamatsiko the priest All Saints church Rubaare, and councilor Turyamwesiga Bernard Kashaija chairperson PTA Mutojo PS among others.
