Musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has returned home from trip that saw took him USA through Jamaica.
Unlike in the past, this time round the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament landed at Entebbe International Airport on Friday afternoon unannounced, probably to avoid the usual police disruption tactics such as arresting him.
Bobi Wine has been out of the country for the past two weeks. Early this month, he travelled to Jamaica where he performed at the annual Rebel Salute Music Festival.
The legislator met with the leader of Jamaica, Prime Minister Andrew Michael Holness, before leaving the Caribbean Island for USA where he rubbed shoulders with renowned American civil rights and political activist Rev Jesse Jackson.
Yesterday while appearing on CNN, he said he was considering running for President in 2021.
“We have been discussing this issue with my team and I must say my team and I are seriously considering challenging President Museveni in the next presidential election,” revealed Bobi Wine.
“Ugandans cannot be free unless they free themselves from military rule and lawless rule.”
He was set to meet with some members of the People Power Movement in the evening.
