Ever since Quiin Abenakyo was crowned Miss World Africa, rumours have been making round on various social media platforms alleging that Busoga Kingdom officials want the beauty queen to marry Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV.
“If all goes well Abenakyo will become a Queen consort (Inhebantu) to Kyabazinga,” one of the kingdom officials was quoted by one of the local tabloids.
However, it seems the reigning Miss Uganda is not willing to be a queen in any royal kingdom.
Abenakyo is a Musoga by tribe.
During a press briefing on Thursday at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, she was asked if she was interested in marrying the Kyabazinga and her answer straight away sent all speculations to rest.
She boldly said, “NO”.
Abenakyo came back to Uganda from China on Wednesday where she had gone to represent her country in the Miss World competition.
She came third in the contest, behind Mexico’s Vanessa Ponce de Leon(Miss World) and Thailand’s Nicolene Limsnukan.
