When Miss Tourism International posted results of the top 10 contestants, it certainly was no surprise that Margaret Kankwanzi was amongst them.
With less than a few days to December 21, chances of Uganda getting another international beauty crown are more likely just a few more votes away. Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo was crowned Miss World Africa recently and made the top five of 2018’s most beautiful women.
Kankwanzi, the Miss Tourism Uganda winner was ranked ninth, behind Miss Indonesia, Malaysia, Venezuela, India, Kenya, Philippines, Brazil, and Finland. Miss Tourism Mexico is number 10.
There are 36 other girls in the race for the coveted title at the 21st edition of Miss Tourism International. The finals will be held at Sunway Hotel and Spa in Malaysia on December 21.
According to organisers of Miss Tourism Uganda, the 22-year-old beauty queen from Kigezi region can only win this title if Ugandans continue to vote for her.
To Vote, one is required to download the voting app ‘One smart star’, Dial *1313, Look for Uganda and cast one free vote daily or voting by credit card. Each vote is $1.20 until December 21.
