Three armed thugs have on Saturday been gunned down as they tried to steal chicken at Biyinzika Poultry farm in Mukono.
According a statement by Uganda Police, its alleged that at around 2 am, ten men armed with a riffle attacked the farm and attempted to steal chicken.
In the process, the thieves and the farm guards started exchanging live bullets. The guards overpowered the culprits thus foiling the robbery. Three of the thieves were shot and died instantly.
One of the deceased was identified as James Adrey of Ngoro District, the other two bodies have not been identified. They are currently at Mulago Hospital for postmortem.
“The hunt for the rest of the thieves is on, ” statement partly reads.
