A Ugandan man is going to spend seven years in jail after court finding him guilty of sexually abusing young girls in the United Kingdom(UK).
Davis Kigozi, 25 preyed on two victims and police fear he may have targeted other children who have not yet come forward.
According to independent.co.uk, Kigozi sexually assaulted the first victim in May 2017 at her home in Charlton, southeast London. The girl, who was 13 at the time of the attack, managed to escape from Kigozi and locked herself in a separate room.
Kigozi threatened to kill himself if the girl told anyone what had happened, London’s Metropolitan Police said.
Almost exactly a year later, he targeted his second victim.
Police said he had been drinking at the 13-year-old victim’s home in Colindale, north London, when he made his way into her bedroom and sexually assaulted her.
Kigozi, of no fixed address, was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of sexual activity with a child by penetration. He was jailed for seven years on Friday.
“Kigozi is a sexual predator who abused his position of trust to assault two vulnerable girls. I can only hope his conviction can give them some form of closure to their ordeal.” Said Detective Constable Jackie McKenzie-Bell of the North West Command Unit.
