Sport S volleyball club coach Bennon Mugisha has signed a one-year contract with Rwanda Energy Group Volleyball Club.
He replaces Pierre Marshal Kwizera as head coach. Kwizera who was in charge of the Rwandan outfit on interim basis since Jean Paul Mana resigned from office.
The move was confirmed by Rwanda Energy Group Volleyball Club team manager, Robert Ndabikunze who said that they were proud to have a winning coach on their side.
“Initially, we thought Kwizera would remain our coach on a permanent basis but we did not agree on personal terms which forced us to look for a better coach such as Mugisha,” Ndabikunze said.
In Sport S, Mugisha had managed to nurture top female volleyballers, winning titles both locally and internationally. Mugisha has also won several trophies with Kampala International University, where he managed the girls side.
“I feel this is the right time to move and also give a chance to other coaches to showcase their passion. I thank Sport S management for the support that they have rendered towards upbringing my career,” he said.
