FUFA Drum Final.
West Nile 1 – 1 Buganda, (Buganda win 2-1 on Agg.)
Buganda Province are champions of the inaugural FUFA Drum competition after they edged West Nile 2-1 on aggregate, having played out a 1-1 draw in the second leg played at the Green Light Stadium in Arua on 6th October. Buganda had won the first leg 1-0.
Bul Bidico’s Villa Oromchan sent the home crowd into wild celebrations when he opened the scoring in the first half. At that point with the tie poised at 1-1, the second half produced a different outcome with Onduparaka’s creative winger Vianney Ssekajugo doing the damage. The pint sized winger slotted home to make it 1-1 and 2-1 on aggregate.
West Nile will have themselves to blame after they ignored bringing on experienced striker Brian Umony when it mattered most.
